Grass Buying Guide
With lots of grasses to choose from its easy to get lost. At Outdoor Flooring we have tried to make it easier by only offering top quality products that we are happy will be able to transform our customers gardens. Here is a quick few bits of information to help you understand the jargon/information.
Pile Height = the height (length) of the artificial grass blades, this is measured in millimetres (mm). It is worth mentioning that a longer artificial grass doesn't necessarily mean it will be better quality. It really does depend on the look you want to create, the shorter grasses will look more neat whilst the longer ones could look a little more natural and be softer to the touch.
Density/Grass Weight = Artificial grass is measured in Grams per Square Metres (GSM) this essentially tells you how much each square metre of grass will weigh in grams. It is sensible to assume that higher GSM grasses are likely to be slightly better quality as it means there is more grass and therefore more weight per square metre.
Colour= It may sound silly but you don't necessarily want a full green artificial grass, our range of grasses have some brown shades in the roots to help create a more realistic finish to your outdoor space. We have also selected grasses with natural green shades to give you the best finish
