Measuring For Your Artificial Grass
It would be best to order a piece of grass slightly bigger than the area you need to give you peace of mind that it will fully cover the area you need.
You should not take off any areas that contain obstacles, i.e Sheds, Planted areas etc. The intention is that you need to measure the widest width and longest length of the area you want to have artificial grass on. You can then multiply the width by the length to find out how many square metres the area is.
If you are going to need joins in the grass it would make sense to try to keep these as minimal as possible. If you need help working this out please get in touch with us.
For square and rectangular-shaped lawns, simply measure the width of the lawn and also the length to find out how much grass you need.
For round lawns measure the diameter of the grass and round up to the nearest metre. As an example for a 3.9 metre diameter round lawn it would be best to order a 4 metre by 4 metre piece of artificial grass.
For L shaped lawns it is best to split the lawn into 2 sections, i.e 2 rectangles or rectangle and a square. Then measure the width and length of each section. To calculate the square metres needed you would take section 1 and multiple the length by the width, then do the same with section 2 and add the two numbers together.
